The four basic commands need to be learned by any dog. The Basset Bleu de Gascogne dog training basic commands has the purpose of changing the dog's behavior, helping it be more self controlled and more cooperative.

SIT - the Basset Bleu de Gascogne dog will learn the sit command by being pushed down from its back while having its dog leash pulled up. The dog will execute this command as soon as it will associate the trainer's verbal request with the position in question.

STAY - it is not such a big deal about how to train a Basset Bleu de Gascogne dog to stay. First, the dog will have to be able to sit. Then you can give it the command to stay while standing in front of it with the dog leash over the dog's head. If the dog gets up, then pull the leash upwards until your dog sits again.

LIE DOWN - this command can be done using two options, the first one using the dog leash and the other one the hand of the trainer. Both options will make the dog lie down while understanding the word lie down.

STAND - the last command will also use the dog collar as a key item in teaching your Basset Bleu de Gascogne dog this order. To be more exact, the dog collar will be pulled forward while giving the stand command. It is important that the dog will stay in that position for about 20 seconds.
